Zocdoc is seeking a Business Planning & Strategy Associate to join our Finance team. You will support financial planning and analysis of company-wide operating expenses, and you will provide analytical support on value-creating initiatives. Your role will be critical in maintaining the health and financial discipline of a rapidly changing tech company. This is an opportunity to apply your analytical acumen in a hybrid role that blends traditional corporate finance activities with strategic projects.
What You’ll Do
Own the Finance-Business relationship for several departments, offering support to Department Heads through reporting, budgeting, and forecasting of their functions
Dive deep into financial data to deliver insights that will inform the company forecast of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement
Assist business leaders with financial analysis to support strategic decision making and effective capital allocation (e.g., “What-If” decision making and unit economics analysis)
Consolidate financials and aggregate KPI’s into digestible formats for leadership across the organization
Maintain the company’s financial operating model
Prepare reporting and other materials for debt and equity investors
What’s Required
2+ years of experience in a financial role, preferably Corporate Finance, FP&A, Valuation, or Accounting/Audit
Bachelor’s Degree in Financing, Accounting, Economics, or other technical discipline
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices; CFA or CPA accreditation is a plus
Very strong Excel modeling skills and ability to work in large, mechanically complex files
Comfort with analyzing large volumes of complex data and presenting findings to senior management
Financial systems experience is a strong plus (Netsuite, Essbase, Host Analytics, Adaptive Insights, etc.)
