The Company
Opal takes the pain out of permissions. We transform how teams manage access to engineering infrastructure. Our solution is the first of its kind — offering immediate cloud discovery of your infrastructure so you can get setup in minutes. Our goal is to create a product simple enough that no training is necessary. We're backed by incredible investors, Greylock Partners, that lead rounds in Airbnb, LinkedIn, and Okta.
The Role
Right now, Opal is entering a phase of immense growth as we bring our product to market. To support us as we scale, we're looking to bring on our first business-facing person to the team, working closely with our CEO, Naseem Al-Naji. Aside from managing day-to-day operations, our Chief of Staff will also be our go-to player for high level strategic decisions and planning.
This is a perfect role for someone ambitious with good product sense & market strategy expertise. You'll be doing everything from fine tuning finances and operating plans to strategically choosing vendors — ultimately getting this ship to sail at full speed. :)
We're willing to work with someone from an atypical background as we are prioritizing attitude over experience. You should be ready to learn new things and hustle.
Responsibilities
Help support our CEO in building out sales, hiring, go-to-market strategy, and general company building
Operationalize key initiatives with guidance from our CEO
Manage our operating plan and finances
Make decisions on different vendors to use that will save the company time on execution
Fill in gaps for roles we haven't hired yet
Own our financial planning end to end
Ready the company for a Series A financing when time comes for it
Qualifications
You have a bachelors or business school degree
You're a former founder, or have the ambition to start your own company
You have a strong generalist skillset; you can move seamlessly across many functions
You're motivated and curious; digging in and solving problems energizes you
You're known for your incredible communication skills
Experience evaluating vendors
Experience working at small startups is a plus
