About Angel City
Angel City is a new direction in sport and entertainment. With our announcement to bring the NWSL to LA we have set our sights on building a franchise that is bigger than a game. Our founders come from sport, technology, entertainment, and media and have come together to build a more equitable future together.
Angel City believes in building a safe place for creative expression and celebrating that which makes us who we are; welcoming unique and personal backgrounds and experiences. We’re proudly building an inclusive Angel City — one that supports diverse perspectives and fosters creative expression, within the organization and within the broader culture of women’s football.
In a nutshell
Angel City is looking to build a world class organization to support its ambitions to redefine sport and entertainment. We are building a global brand, routed in our drive for equality and the impact we make in our community and around the world. We are leading off with building a professional women’s soccer team for Los Angeles, to launch as part of the National Women’s Soccer League in 2022. We have no legacy, and this is what we believe is our strength. We will strive to set higher expectations on and off the field as we challenge the status quo, reshape expectations of what of the game, from the players to the fans to the experience of it all, and delight in the joy this team brings to LA.
The Chief of Staff will play a critical role in the strategic development and prioritization of projects and initiatives in close partnership with the CEO and leadership team. The Chief of Staff will also partner with the CEO to effectively update and manage its Board of Directors and Founding Investors, strategically identify and evaluate growth opportunities for Angel City and the Football Club, and coordinate with leadership to ensure teams are communicating and organized effectively, collaboratively working together with a focus on key deliverables. You are right for this role if you are analytical, strategic, adaptable, creative, and self starting as many projects will require research, quick learning, fast turnarounds, communication, and at times filling operational gaps.
