Monday.vc is looking for a mid career Business Strategy & Operations Lead to join our early stage, fast growing team. You’d be responsible for helping to build, support and grow the day to day operations of the company, reporting directly to the CEO.
Location: Remote
Purpose Statement: Scale the effectiveness of Monday.vc’s founding team by creating organizational clarity exercising exceptional judgement, and designing systems that generate predictable results at scale.

The Opportunity
Responsibilities
Strategy and Operations
Ensure operational excellence across the organization
Shape and drive a range of projects to establish the firm’s systems and processes including identifying and strategizing on new initiatives
Work closely with the CEO by providing him leverage in moving projects forward – gathering information, communicating with different parties, developing and monitoring plans, keeping track of responsibilities, and so on
Support the work of the leadership team: helping to navigate strategic discussions to grow the company
Work with team members to develop capacity in planning, goal-setting, and tracking completion of commitments
Identify and drive a broad range of strategic special projects relating to firm operations
Advance the firm’s knowledge management practices by codifying and improving upon firm templates & resources and implementing best practices
Uphold company values to foster a remote culture conducive to supporting employee morale, productivity, and efficiency
Finance and Accounting
Leads Monday’s finance function working closely with CEO on key financial decisions ranging from fundraising to cash flow management
Create and manage Monday’s budget, financial forecasts and financial review system
Oversees and manages internal financial processes such as AP & AR (invoicing and bill pay), cash flow management, and expense reporting
Oversees bill pay, expenses/ invoicing processes and generates financial/operational reports upon request
People
Support recruiting function including project management of active searches, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the on-going pipeline
Oversees in onboarding and offboarding and other HR responsibilities
Designs and manages the performance management and people development system at Monday
You’d Describe Yourself As:

Commercial acumen: understands quantitatively and in his or her guts how a business makes money, enjoys the objectivity and challenge of understanding quantitative data and finances.
Experience/ Background
+5 years of overall work experience
Demonstrated project management experience and running with small to mid teams either across multiple clients, offices, functions or projects
Strong leadership skills and effective organizational management
Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
At least 2+ years of experience in financial planning, budgeting and fiscal management
Demonstrated experience to building a people function
Previous startup experience in a fast growing startup a plus
