About the Job
ALU is seeking an analyst to join our Investor Relations team. You will report directly to our CFO and play a critical role in driving our communication strategy with Investors, Funders, Management and Board of Directors. Magic happens daily at ALU and we are looking for someone who can capture these beautiful stories through numbers. The ideal candidate is a self-starting individual with a can-do attitude and well demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills. We are a startup on a mission to change the world, so your ability to thrive in chaos and adapt to a fast-changing environment is crucial.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and execution of investor relations communication materials.
Prepare quarterly investor reports and monthly financial updates for the executive team and the board or directors.
Conduct research on the tertiary education and Edtech industry to benchmark key metrics and identify potential market risks and opportunities.
Perform regular financial analyses to surface insights to help the executive team better understand financial performance drivers and business health indicators.
Collaborate cross-functionally across the company to build a holistic narrative for financial stakeholders.
Participate in ad hoc and special projects as needed.
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in equity research, investment banking, investor relations, financial planning and analysis, financial consulting or other related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High proficiency in PowerPoint and strong Excel financial modeling skills (Bonus points if you can do this in G-Suite).
Robust attention to detail.
Organized and able to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects and priorities, and take ownership of tasks with little supervision.
Bias towards action.
