The nitty gritty
The Head of Sales is a full-time job based in our New York Headquarters, reporting to our experienced Vice President/GM of NYC. The Head of Sales will have complete accountability to grow the overall business by being the lead sales person for corporate business in both New York and New Jersey, while also coaching a team of two sales managers in charge of all non-corporate New York business. You will be well-supported, much appreciated and an integrated team member from day one.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Sales Strategy and Execution – Lead the process of implementing sales tactics for both a) the corporate business (company teams) directly and b) holding the team of two sales managers accountable for executing tactics for all non-corporate business. Consistently testing new tactics, identifying best practices and leading the rollout on the local team and to national colleagues.
Retaining Current and Past Corporate Players - Design and execute sales tactics aimed at forming both personal relationships with key purchasers, while also finding touchpoints that help with closing large groups
Outbound Sales - Own lead generation strategy and execution, including prospecting and networking
Inbound Sales - Implement system for closing inbound leads (email, phone, other), including follow-up plan
Coaching/Management – Lead team of two additional sales managers within the ZogSports communication rhythm, holding them accountable for execution of best practices as well as testing new tactics.
Strategic Planning – Accountable for the sales team communication with the product and operational teams.

Required:
BA or BS degree; 4+ years sales experience; some managerial experience preferred
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple projects at one time
Creativity with a willingness to take risks
Fun on paper and in person – excellent written and oral communication skills
Willing to go above and beyond, especially an understanding and desire to always improve as a member of the team
