Roster is looking for an experienced Vice President of Operations to oversee ongoing operations and expansion responsibilities. As the VP Operations, this individual will be a mission-driven, strategic-minded team member – while also playing a substantial role in setting Roster’s overall direction and strategy.
About Roster
Roster is a technology-enabled service looking to transform the post-acute and home care space by empowering local community members to directly improve the healthcare outcomes of neighbors. Our service manages and deploys community health workers to establish and maintain relationships with high-risk, high-need patients who have recently been discharged from the hospital or are living with chronic diseases with an emphasis on patients’ social determinants of health, an area traditional healthcare providers have not previously focused. We are focused on optimizing healthcare outside the traditional “4-walls” using people, processes, and technology to empower community health workers to care for their community. In the post-acute space, Roster will closely monitor patients following discharge to home from hospitals or skilled-nursing facilities to ensure patients remain healthy, happy, and at home for the next follow through on their discharge plan, including medication adherence, follow up appointment attendance, addressing social determinants of health, and escalating unforeseen clinical issues back to their clinical team. Last year, 2,573 hospitals were assessed a financial penalty as per the Medicare Hospital Readmission Reduction Program (HRRP). This does not take into account additional penalties incurred by hospitals from other payers, such as Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and Medicaid plans. In the chronic disease space, we will engage in longitudinal relationships with high-risk, high-need patients suffering from chronic diseases to assist them in living healthier and happier lives closely integrated with their clinical team.
The current healthcare delivery model does not adequately support patients in these vulnerable states and Roster will use its people, processes, and technology to allow patients and healthcare organizations to simultaneously succeed by keeping patients healthy, happy, and at home.

Responsibilities
Oversee the buildout of Roster’s core business through people, processes, and product
Identify, hire, and retain top talent to establish and scale core functional teams
Build processes for recruiting, training, compensating, and retaining community health workers in target geographies
Oversee design and development for technical product
Anticipate opportunities and hurdles for business growth and proactively lead the company to address them
Ability to work closely with Director of Clinical Operations
Manage employee performance and operations by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, and ensuring timely feedback
Requirements
At least 5-7 years’ experience in management
Experience managing fast-growing organizations
Experience managing and scaling a distributed workforce
Advanced organizational leadership skills
A strong interest in technology and software development
A passion for healthcare
Strong written and verbal communication and sales skills; ability to deliver clear, concise information to partners, clients, and team
Experience working with clients that have security, liability, and compliance concerns a plus
