Why this is a great job
More junior roles at incubators and VC firms are few and far between, especially ones like this. If you want to have real responsibilities and get your hands dirty helping to build great companies, this could be the role for you. Also, I’ve spoken to a few founders that have worked with 25Madison and they all rave about the experience.

25madison is a venture studio headquartered in New York City. Founded by partners and executives from Centerbridge, Goldman Sachs, Sony and other leading companies, 25madison takes a disciplined approach to incubating break-out companies.
We partner with entrepreneurs to solve big problems. We’ve built a suite of shared services for our portfolio companies, and we’re obsessed with finding creative ways to help them succeed.
25madison’s team comes from a diverse set of careers, working at companies like Blackstone, LinkedIn, Google, and Daily Harvest, but we share a common background as builders and operators. We’ve worked in startups, innovation consulting, venture capital, private equity, big companies, and investment banking. We’re eager to add more valuable perspectives to focus on important functional areas.
The Venture Development Analyst role mixes startup creation, venture investing and portfolio company management. This role offers exposure to senior executives at the firm and in our portfolio. We are seeking someone who has recently graduated from college and currently works in Consulting, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or at a high-growth startup.
Who you are:
A builder. You plan to become a startup founder/operator, and you’re eager to put your toolkit to work
An owner. You're capable of straddling between complex, high-level topics like capital raising and corporate strategy while also getting in the weeds with hiring and product building
A creative thinker with strong commercial instincts - you can understand what makes consumers and business buyers tick
An intellectually curious problem-solver who loves diving head-first into unfamiliar challenges
A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments without the structure of a large organization
An analytical thinker who is also a superb communicator – someone who can dig into the numbers and convey findings through written and verbal communications
What you’ve done:
Worked or interned somewhere at the intersection of startups and VC in the past
Gotten your hands dirty, either in a product, tech or go-to-market org of a company
Gone deep with prospects, customers, users, partners, and anyone else in an ecosystem to understand problems and figure out solutions (quantitative and qualitative research, ideation, validation)
Created solutions from scratch – turning research findings into vision, and vision into product
Built competitive landscapes; defined points of differentiation; evaluated the value of products/features
What you’ll do at 25madison:
Help us identify, test, and iterate on our next cohort of incubated startups
Identify and evaluate market trends and business/consumer behaviors that will inform our incubations/investments
Product-focused work with early-stage businesses: define product roadmaps for internally-incubated startups and support CEOs and product leads at current portfolio companies
Define and execute on go-to-market strategy for startup companies in consumer and B2B verticals
Help portfolio company CEOs and CMOs build and execute campaigns to acquire customers
Occasionally diligence pre-seed stage ventures for minority investments
We have a bonus post coming your way tomorrow, so stay tuned!
