Crown Affair is a personal care company that lives in NYC, will be sold on the internet, and celebrates the rituals and relationship we have with our hair thought innovative, thoughtful, and effective product. The business is currently in pre-launch. Crown Affair is founded by Dianna Cohen.
About The Founder
Dianna Cohen started her career at digital content platform, Into The Gloss, in 2012. She was part of the founding team of e-commerce mobile app, Spring, where she launched and managed their marketing channels from pre-launch through year two. From there, she worked closely with former Jimmy Choo founder, Tamara Mellon, to relaunch her namesake brand as a direct-to- consumer, luxury company. After launching Tamara Mellon in 2016, Dianna joined travel company, Away, as Head of Partnerships until she left to start Levitate at the end of 2017. Under Levitate, Dianna has worked with a number of direct-to-consumer brands including, Harry’s / Flamingo, Outdoor Voices, Yumi, Buck Mason, The Wing, and more. Dianna is part of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for the Class of 2019.
The role
We are looking for someone deeply curious and intelligent to join our team to drive some of our most critical strategic and operational priorities. You will report directly to the CEO and gain exposure to early-stage company-building and a variety of functions within a fast-growing startup. As one of our first employees, you will have the opportunity and responsibility to put your own stamp on our evolving company culture.

You’ll be a business leader for Crown Affair at multiple levels and act as project champion. You’re someone who wants to make a difference and cares about the customer. You lead with empathy, patience, and compassion as you guide the team to achieve their long and short-term deliverables. You’re a left-brain, Type-A human who is graceful in moments of pressure. You’re someone who knows how to say no, while offering solutions and alternatives to keep the mission on track.
The details
Manage timeline and key deliverable process for go-to-market and new product launch cycles including all steps involved from product ideation to execution.
Independently oversee the execution and accountability of established timelines; lead weekly meetings with cross-functional teams to establish project statuses and milestones.
Identify key stakeholders on projects and develop communication pipelines, recommending frequency of communications.
Maintain, adjust, and update project plans as needed, with streamlined communications of updates to key stakeholders.
Own escalation process with feedback loop for leadership. Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues to relevant stakeholders.
Identify potential bottlenecks and inefficiencies in execution and make recommendations for solutions.
Marketing
Design a pipeline and structured timeline for all creative assets, including: evergreen campaign assets, eg. ecomm, lifestyle imagery, ingredient / material details, social, paid media, out of home campaigns.
Oversee the execution and accountability of established timelines related to creative assets noted above; support weekly meetings with cross-functional teams to establish project statuses, milestones, and accountability.
Digital / Ecommerce / Growth
Design a timeline/schedule to support the review & production of the copywriting for new product launches.
Design methodologies for feedback loops and escalation processes for all active web based initiatives.
Operations / Product Development
Oversee the execution and accountability of established timelines related to operational and product development; support weekly meetings with cross-functional teams to establish project statuses, milestones, and accountability.
Experience
5+ years of project management experience, product development and operational experience preferred.
Strong sense of community and collaboration with an exceptional track record collaborating with internal partners.
Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills.
Exhibit strong leadership skills.
Must have demonstrated an analytical approach to business management, excellent communication skills, and interpersonal skills required in successfully representing the business.
