About the Role
We’re looking for an energetic, hyper-organized, motivated & passionate operational expert to handle a wide array of business tasks alongside our CEO & executive team. As Chief of Staff, your primary role will be assisting the CEO in critical, day to day operational & executive work with the core goal of providing him more leverage. This position is scoped specifically to allow our CEO to work better, faster, and with more insight across the entire organization. There are elements of the role that cross between Operations, Finance, and EA but this is not an Executive Assistant position.
This is a rare chance to join a fast-paced, VC-backed, high potential company, and work directly with the CEO to improve the state, efficiency, and success of the organization.
Responsibilities
Work directly with our CEO to transition, own, and drive forward key operational initiatives.
Prepare for and run key weekly & monthly meetings including our Leadership MMM, All Hands, and other team-wide strategy discussions.
Keep the CEO accountable for commitments, while helping keep reports accountable for results.
Keep the CEO accessible & open to new ideas and proposals.
Ensure the executive team is working on the most important items for the company.
Implement key operational processes across the company, ensuring full alignment & accountability across the organization.
Collaborate with department leads to develop, track, and target team-wide success across our quarterly OKRs.
Manage all planning sessions, check-ins, and review meetings alongside our CEO.
Act as a liaison between department leads, HR, and management to coordinate hiring & growth plans across the organization based on immediate business needs.
Work directly with the CEO to prepare data-driven updates for our board of directors & investment team, helping prepare for quarterly board presentations & shareholder updates.
Act as “Second in Command” when the CEO steps out for other key duties, such as company fundraise cycles.
You will succeed in this role if you:
Have 5+ years of demonstrated success in CoS, Operations, Founder, or related role.
Are highly detail-oriented with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent presentation skills, capable of running efficient and productive meetings.
Are a highly analytical, strategic, and creative thinker with strong business acumen.
Posses strong operational and strategy experience, preferably at a fast-growing company.
Have a demonstrated ability to drive business insights and operational improvement in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Have the ability to drive initiatives with minimal structure, and be influential within the organization to garner internal support for your initiatives.
Are willing to get your hands dirty, lead by example, and motivate teams through both in-person and remote management.
