M&A Sr. Associate/Director
This is the first M&A hire for a venture-backed start-up, and represents a vital role within the Company. You will work with the CEO and COO to identify and execute on acquisition opportunities. This position will attend meetings with management teams of target companies and the leadership teams of StealthCo and our business lines, lead valuation analysis, assess and execute potential investments and be an integral part of coordinating due diligence activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing industry research to highlight opportunities within target segments.
Developing detailed financial models and valuation scenarios for potential transactions; compiling research, developing models and valuation scenarios.
Coordinating and implementing due diligence for potential transactions.
Creating investment conclusions and related presentations for review by the Executive Team.
Identify keys risks and opportunities for a given transaction (pre & post close), while working cross-functionally to drive decisions and implement solutions
Participating as a team member in transaction negotiations and legal documentation.
Building networks and relationships with external founders, leaders and investors.
Analyzing and supporting other corporate development activities
Working with finance, legal and other departments to ensure seamless deal execution.
Your skills:
4-6 years’ experience in a M&A transactional environment, preferably with experience in private equity, corporate M&A, or investment banking (in the M&A group). Experience in the consumer internet, media, and/or social media space(s) preferable.
Demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis and research in heavily transactional situations. Working knowledge of applicable finance/accounting principles.
Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Expert level Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Self-starter capable of working independently and also effectively as part of a small team.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Strategy Associate role
We are a venture-backed company currently in stealth mode. As part of our next phase of growth, we’re hiring a Strategy Associate to evaluate and and make recommendations about which markets we should dedicate attention, talent, and capital to.
If you’re successful in this role, you’ll be well positioned to move internally into an M&A role or launch your own business line. You’ll also have a great set of experiences to take into an MBA program or a VC role.
What you’ll do
Evaluate markets through a mix of primary and secondary research
Conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative economic, industry and company research and analysis
Present regularly to the company’s CEO and COO, making recommendations about significant talent and capital allocation decisions
Consult leaders of new business lines to help them get up to speed on their verticals

Analytical: has the experience and skills to do quantitative and qualitative research, crunching numbers but also understanding (and being able to communicate) the vibe of a market
Entrepreneurial: can lead a key initiative without lots of oversight
