Dandy is becoming the operating system for every dental office in America. We are leading the transition to digital dentistry for the $200 billion industry. We have chosen to start with the most archaic part of the value chain - the dental lab (crowns, implants, etc).
Job description
Dandy is looking for a Head of Operations to work with the VP of Revenue Operations and CEO to scale out our operational processes in our managed marketplace. We partner with dentists all across the country routing thousands of orders to labs around the country. You will be in charge of ensuring the supply side of our marketplace can keep up with demand. You will craft efficient and effective systems and drive long-term strategic decisions around product and growth while taking direct responsibility of the complex day-to-day operations. You will own the operational KPIs impacting margin and dentist retention - refabrication rate, gross margin, and location onboarding costs.
The ideal candidate loves to building processes for scale. They have strong personal accountability for results, a desire for excellence and comfort operating in a fast paced start-up environment with an ability to prioritize.
What you’ll do
Scale: Help manage, refine and scale the complicated operational system, including supply chain, logistics, and customer support
Problem Solve: We are a healthcare marketplace. All kinds of obstacles come up on a daily basis, and you need to be ready to solve the problems thoughtfully and efficiently
Insight & Analytics: Develop analytical frameworks to support the company in business decision-making
Create & Optimize Process: Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes with the product team. We are a new company launching a new product in new environments - we not only need to create and constantly optimize our own processes for this operation, but for the many products that are to follow in the near future
Project Management: This role demands excellent stakeholder and project management skills, as well as the ability to both plan and execute projects of varying time horizons and scope with minimal guidance
Work with product to help build better tooling to handle ops processes.
Build the staff to scale different operational processes
Who you are
5+ years experience of investment banking / consulting / operations at a high growth company.
Experience solving complex problems, exercising good judgment in ambiguous circumstances, and effectively communicating across a diverse team
Proven to be self-motivated, self-directed, and eager to take ownership of tasks to ensure a solution
Experience in defining and scaling operational processes, both internally and with external partners
Naturally organized and detailed oriented
Curious and capable of learning new things quickly
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Bonus points if you
