To my future Chief of Staff:
I’m looking for a Chief of Staff to join me on our Leadership Team. As The Rounds navigates the next phase of our company-building journey from Series A to B and beyond, I need an analytical thinker with high EQ to help me focus on what matters most and own select strategic priorities. We’ll sometimes operate in lockstep and sometimes divide & conquer. You will work closely with my Co-Founder to cover for me internally when I'm focused externally and with our People Ops Lead to help optimize the right org strategy to drive higher team performance with more purpose and intent. You will be responsible for creating leverage by both supercharging me and acting on my behalf to facilitate strategic decisions, taking ownership to proactively analyze data, manage key action items and follow up on execution. The company will know that responsibilities that fall to you are guaranteed to get done. The CoS role is a 18 month “tour of duty,” during which you will gain unmatched exposure to every aspect of the business. Based on your interests and career goals, I will personally set you up to crush your next role at The Rounds.

You Will:
Program Management (40%)
Fly high and low, jumping in to manage and/or accelerate/unblock special projects
Context switch frequently to prioritize strategic projects and daily tasks through to completion
Critical thinking/analysis with minimal direction, understanding the big picture and steps to get there
Execute independently and/or collaborate cross-functionally with teammates/stakeholders
Build trust and follow up internally/externally to create accountability for quality and speed of results
Team Alignment (30%)
A skilled communicator and cross-functional connective tissue that supercharges alignment across teams, known for framing information clearly to drive strategic decision-making
Ability to drive key meetings at a strategic and tactical level and follow through on key decisions
You will liaise with Board of Directors, Advisors, other stakeholders and Senior Leadership team
CEO Support (30%)
Manage email inbox to have strategic context needed to manage priorities and day-to-day tasks
Run tight/effective processes to help level up CEO decision-making speed/quality
Organize workflows for CEO strategic priorities (e.g. recruiting, investor/advisor management)
Prepare Board material, e.g. coordinate agenda, own Board deck, manage meeting follow-ups
Lead and/or support strategic internal/external CEO comms
You Are:

You help evaluate what is urgent versus important
You weigh in on and can make decisions with authority and data across all parts of the business
Trusted Partner
You’re a highly trusted confidante with an innate ability to manage sensitive/confidential information
You liaise expertly with our Board, investors, advisors and partner with our People Ops Lead
Super Organizer
You’re a detailed multi-tasker, able to track and triage competing priorities and remember details
You methodically bring order to the most important things to drive clear decisions across the org
Expert Facilitator
You manage day-to-day conversations, clearly/concisely synthesizing multiple points of view
You help de-conflict strategic priorities/direction in a uniquely impartial way
You tear down “walls” so teams communicate better and maintain a pulse on the team’s vibe
Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience, ideally Strategy/BizOps type role at a startup and Management Consulting/Investment Banking or similar
MBA preferred, ~2 years post MBA
NYC based or open to relocation (this role is 100% IRL)
