We solve high-impact problems for everyday people by reimagining consumer legal services, an enormous market largely untouched by innovation.
About the Position
The Contingency Practice Area Lead is a highly cross-functional and highly impactful role. As the owner of our contingency practice areas, you will be responsible for establishing processes and KPIs and driving all aspects of this business line. You will be responsible for determining the optimal process for our contingency practice and then working closely with our product, marketing, operations, finance and sales teams to drive growth. This role requires smarts, collaboration, leadership and a determination to get things done.
Responsibilities
Use quantitative and qualitative means to understand the contingency market and determine the optimal process for these practice areas and how Marble should position and compete.
Developing a pricing framework and working with our attorneys to set supply and demand prices to hit our revenue targets while maintaining margins.
Grow our contingency practice supply by building relationships and partnerships with attorneys and law firms and identifying opportunities to expand together.
Work with marketing, product, sales, dispatch and operations teams to adapt for the contingency market and drive growth.
Develop a playbook to help identify new contingency practice area targets and scale them going forward.
Requirements
5+ years of demonstrated professional success in an analytical role e.g. consulting; at least some high-growth startup experience is strongly preferred
Proactive, self-starter attitude, self-motivated and desire to take ownership of large strategic initiatives, exercise judgement and solve tough problems without direct supervision
Strong strategic thinker and executor -- ability to not only develop strategic insights and plans but execute on initiatives through strong people and project management
Operational and data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and an ability to own and drive a P&L
Bias toward action and comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with demonstrated success developing creative solutions to achieve goals
Hustle -- ability to figure out what is critical to hitting KPIs and roll up your sleeves to find a way to get it done
Strong relationship building skills and ability to forge partnerships Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to synthesize complex information and clearly articulate it to partners at all levels of the organization and influence cross-functional teams
Highly organized and detail oriented
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.
