Moda Operandi is looking for a Manager, Strategic Finance to "own Moda's top-line" -- they will build financial forecasting models and work closely with functional team leads to evaluate growth initiatives.
The Manager will become the go-to business partner to Moda's cross-functional revenue-generating teams, and will harness data and qualitative insights to create analyses that help guide the business in making well-informed strategic decisions. This role will report into the Sr. Director, Strategic Finance.
Key Responsibilities (About the Role):
Oversee and manage revenue forecasting & reporting; construct comprehensive financial models that are grounded in key operational drivers
Develop relevant revenue KPIs and processes for tracking and reporting on those metrics to the Company
Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional revenue-generating teams (Private Client Advisors, Marketing, Buying, etc)
Partner with Moda's revenue leaders to create business cases to support new growth opportunities and develop ROI frameworks through which to evaluate financial implications
Liaise with the merchandise & planning teams to ensure top-line demand forecasts are in sync with the supply-side (inventory) of the business
Synthesize large and complex datasets in order to establish clear insights, business themes & strategic recommendations that can be communicated (and understood) throughout the Company
Work with the Accounting team on the month-end financial consolidation and the creation of internal management reports
Assist with investor relations activities, including preparation of board materials and monthly investor reporting
Contribute to analysis and prepare materials related to future equity and/or debt financings
Provide financial analysis in support of partnership evaluations and/or other corporate development activities
Qualifications (About You):
4-6 years of experience, including at least 2 years experience in investment banking and/or private equity and 2 years experience on a high-growth, entrepreneurial corporate finance team
Desire to have an impact on a fast-paced and constantly evolving Company
Experience building revenue models that incorporate e-commerce funnel metrics and/or salesforce metrics
Capable of synthesizing complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations
Intrinsically driven to find creative solutions to complex problems; you must be resourceful in constructing analyses without complete information or precedents ("blank slate" abilities!)
Take pride in following tasks through to completion and meeting commitments, actively communicating progress to your peers and manager
You think ahead, anticipate questions, and think critically & creatively
Excellent written, verbal communication & presentation skills
Highly organized, with strong time-management skills and attention to detail
Possess a solid understanding of accounting standards and the three financial statements
Pluses include: (i) familiarity with the balance sheet -- specifically, inventory analytics, (ii) transactional experience (M&A, partnerships, equity/debt financings), and (iii) knowledge of SQL, Looker or other data analytics languages and tools
Comfortable working in a remote environment
