Weekend Edition: Great Content and #CoronaPledge
Hi folks! You sent in so many great recommendations that I had to share them right away with all of you. But before we get to that, my friend Geng and I just launched something new and wanted to tell you about it:
As you’ve probably heard, many of us will be getting stimulus checks from the government in the next few weeks. Many of us will need them.
But, for those of us whose jobs haven’t been disrupted and can afford it, donating your check (or a portion of it) can make a big difference. If you’re able to, please consider taking the #CoronaPledge to donate your check to healthcare organizations fighting Covid-19 or organizations helping those who have lost their jobs.
You can take the #CoronaPledge at www.coronaviruspledge.org. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of people who have been impacted.
Now, on to your recommendations! I’ve included just a few below, but you can see the full results here.
If you’re newly inspired, you can submit your own recs here.

A balanced immune system is about a lot more than Vitamin C, etc. - it's about physical and mental balance, so taking proactive steps to achieve those will go a long way in helping your body fight off the virus
Take care of your body. Do a daily workout, do a daily "self-care" item e.g. a facemask, brush extra times, actually floss, come out of this thing looking/feeling good

Create a new set of routines for the (temporary but still) new reality.
Indulgences
I eat much more ice cream than usual... [editor’s note: same.]
Frozen chicken nuggets and fries that were hidden in my freezer.
Bircher muesli for breakfast, reminding me of a trip to Munich
Maximizing my time in the morning and evenings to read and be outside. I focus on ingesting information, via podcasts, articles, or books, that are already on my lists or have become more relevant during this time. I'm waking up as early as I normally would (6:30) and doing my darndest to stay off my phone as long as I can, which normally lasts til about 8am. If I'm on my laptop before then, I try to not check email, Slack or text. I brew my coffee, I sit with my doggo, and read. I also only listen to the news if the segments are interesting or spotlighting amazing stories. If it's repetitive, I don't turn it on. My other pieces of my routine that feel "indulgent" are making a smoothie every morning, a fun recipe with my mom every evening, sneaking in a workout in between video call meetings, and taking a hot bath every few nights.
MOTHERFUCKING TIGER KING [editor’s note: truly wild]
