About the role
PeerIQ is looking to hire an exceptional analyst for our Data Insights team who is excited to analyze, onboard, and enhance some of the most interesting data sets in consumer credit. You’ll develop considerable expertise in consumer credit and work directly with our clients at banks, hedge funds, and loan originators. The ideal candidate has strong math skills, enjoys investigating complex data issues, and coming up with robust solutions to solve them.
Responsibilities
Work with data providers and clients to integrate new data sets into the PeerIQ Analytics platform
Own core components of the data ingestion pipeline, design optimizations, and automate manual processes
Develop expertise across our data warehouse, analytical tools, and sector in order to help our clients quickly reach valuable insight
Partner with the client delivery team to answer data questions and ensure all client commitments are met
Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering, Math, Finance or related field
2+ years of experience working with financial data or systems (consumer credit background is a plus)
Strong knowledge of Excel and SQL
Experience with Python, R, Matlab, or other programmatic data analysis language
Experience working with and analyzing large datasets (too big for Excel)
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to interface directly with clients to solve data issues
Analytical mindset, with the ability to focus on a problem, ask insightful questions, and gain expertise quickly
Knowledge of software engineering best practices (unit testing, code reusability, version control, etc.) and an understanding of why they are important
